Make sure you are in Office Insiders Fast (Beta Channel) or Current Channel (Preview) for users of the classic Outlook for Windows. The Office Insider Program provides Office subscribers with early access to features before they are released to Production. The new Outlook for Windows is only available for Office Insiders.

Currently, the new Outlook for Windows does not support other account types like Gmail, Yahoo!, iCloud, or other account types connecting through POP/IMAP protocols. Important: New Outlook for Windows supports Exchange-backed Microsoft 365 work or school accounts.
